Luís de Camões already wrote in the distant year of 1556 that ‘the whole world is made up of change’. Nothing could be more authentic and distressing these days. We live today in a world, in a time, in constant mutation, full of symbols, brands, icons… all of them full of meaning, with more or less content, but all with a unique meaning that is somehow intrinsic and revealing of the symbol, the brand, from the icon of each one.

When designing the image of Conceitos Vantagens we also had the need to analyze these and other substances and, based on these assumptions, on the history of the brand and the current times, we chose to give special notoriety to the core of all our activity: the People. In fact, this is the force that moves us day by day, and a truly felt need, even more so in these days when we live confined without being able to establish the usual ties of communication to which we were used and rooted.

 

Having done this small, but indispensable framing, it is important to justify the current graphic element: a simple C followed by a dot [ C⋅ ]. On a first reading it is easy to decipher the logo “C” of Concepts and the “.” of affirmation, since from this date onwards we chose to simplify the name, passing from Different Concepts to, simply, Concepts. But this graphic element has much more meaning beyond the obvious and, if we look a little more carefully, we can easily discover the graphic symbol of a person, accompanied by a blue dot; this blue dot that intends in a non-innocent way to affirm that the person is the center of all our activity, is the center of Conceitos, of our world.

Once the symbology inherent to the new Conceitos graphic symbol has been established, as well as the choice of colors, it becomes imperative to cement the choice of font. We chose to select a sans serif humanist style font, which started to take its first steps at the same time as Conceitos Outros and from the same creator of another font that we were already used to using in our institutional documentation. So we selected the Ubuntu font by designer Vincent Connare.

 

As it is our objective to simplify the entire message conveyed by the logo, we chose to highlight the site where we are, simply staying, conceitos.pt, giving, however, special emphasis to the name. Thus arises the new brand image of a project conceived in 2001, later strengthened in 2008 with a capital increase and which intends to remain attentive to the present day, showing all the vitality and joviality so characteristic of our business area.
